Hand-poured scented candles, lovingly crafted by us in our petite studio from Transylvania. Using a special wax blend and premium fragrances for the everyday candles. We believe in sustenaibility, so we use repurposable vessels. Our fragrances are in compliance with the standards of the International Fragrance Association (IFRA – 48th Amendment / published June 2015).

We are a young couple living in a small villange from Transylvania. Our story started on the vivid streets of the Portobello Market in London. We experienced the long walks and the crowded streets full of life and laughter for quite a while as a regular. Our first products – the lavender bags and cushions – were a hit among customers. But we felt that the story of scent can be continued with a new product and this is how Candles Of Transylvania found it's way into our lifes.

"There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never know where they'll take you."

Back when we were younger, scented candles were a luxury. You would receive one and leave it on the shelves untouched for years. Then, as time passed, we would light one on special occasions or whenever we felt the sense of accomplishment, of something well done worth celebrating. Since we started our small business, we no longer wait for special occasions to light a scented candle. We wanted to transform this luxury into part of the everyday life.

Our candles are the result of extensive tests, intensive research and lots of brainstorming meetings. We wanted to provide nothing but what we would use ourselves in our home. We make them in small batches, which ensures a constant excellent quality. We don’t use any additives or dyes and our wicks are made of cotton.

The wax we use is a special blend of paraffin and rapeseed which adds beautiful tops and an amazing hot and cold scent throw. We don't use soy wax because there is no significant, scientifically backed evidence to prove that soy wax is in any way less harmful, or cleaner burning than other wax types. We advise everyone to do their own research.
