What are the candles made from?

We use a special wax blend and premium fragrances made specifically for use in candles. Our fragrances are in compliance with the standards of the International Fragrance Association (IFRA – 48th Amendment / published June 2015). We also use pure cotton wicks with a thin wax coat to ensure the best scent throw possible.

Is there an ideal length of time that I should burn my candle?

We recommend letting your candle burn for no more than 2-3 hours at a time due to the temperature that the wax and glass will reach. This is purely from a safety point of view.

How can I make my candles last longer?

Our regular glass jar candles (150g) burn for up to 35-40 hours if candle care instructions are followed properly. The key to extending the life of your candle is to trim the wick. The more wick that is exposed the bigger the burn pool (the amount of liquid candle produced) and in turn the more wax will be burnt. Simply keeping your wick trimmed before lighting will give you extra hours of enjoyment. Ideally, the wick should be trimmed to about 6-10 mm.

Do you ship outside of Romania?

We ship to any country in Europe. If you don't see your country on the list, please e-mail us at info@candlesoftransylvania.com and we will arrange a shipment for you. Applies for US as well.

How should I store my candle?

We recommend letting the candle cool down after every burn, without the lid on. Once cooled, place the lid onto the candle and store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight or heat. If properly stored, our candles can last up to 2 years.

What does "processing time" mean?

We make our products in small batches, manually, which ensures they have the same quality every time you purchase a new one.

What are the lavender bags made from?

Our bags are made of 100% organic, untreated lavender, making the product biodegradable. For the fabrics we use only 100% cotton, one of the most breathable fabrics.

How can I use the bags or the cushions?

Our lavender bags are excellent air refresheners and a good alternative to room sprays.

Moreover, a lot of our clients use them against moth and mosquitoes during warmer months.

If you’re struggling with sleep – and we can confirm this – just put one bag or cushion under your pillow. It will help you sleep better.
